.QB2009 File Extension

Company data file created by the Mac version of QuickBooks, a small business accounting application; contains financial data, report definitions, letters, and a company profile; enables companies to store and monitor their financial data; used for tracking income and expenses, as well as filing taxes.

Mac versions of QuickBooks use the software release year with the file extension. For example, the QuickBooks 2010 extension is .QB2010.

NOTE: QB2009 files are considered legacy since they were used for a previous tax year.
